Salary calculator for UAE and Pakistan
I built this to make a salary package easier to read, from basic pay and allowances to tax and gratuity.
My salary calculator helps you compare what a pay package means in the UAE or Pakistan. Build a UAE package from basic salary and allowances, then estimate end-of-service gratuity. For Pakistan, enter monthly taxable salary to see annual income tax, monthly withholding, effective tax rate and estimated take-home pay for FY 2026-27.

Know what the estimate includes
UAE package and gratuity
Gross monthly salary = basic + housing + transport + other allowances. Annual salary = gross monthly × 12. Under Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021, the gratuity estimate uses 21 days of basic wage for each of the first five years and 30 days for each additional year, capped at two years of basic wage.
I use the final monthly basic wage throughout. This standard private-sector estimate does not cover every jurisdiction or alternative savings scheme. MOHRE's own calculator is authoritative; confirm service exclusions and entitlement there.
Pakistan annual tax
Annual taxable income = monthly taxable salary × 12. I find the matching annual slab, add its fixed tax to its marginal rate on the excess, and divide annual tax by 12 for monthly withholding. Effective rate = annual tax ÷ annual taxable income. At zero income the effective rate is zero.
Take-home here means taxable salary minus income tax only. I do not model rebates, credits, pension deductions, other income or prior withholding. Confirm the legislation and filing treatment with the Federal Board of Revenue.
| Annual taxable income | Annual income tax |
|---|---|
| Up to 600,000 | 0 |

Salary calculator FAQs
What does this salary calculator include?
I combine UAE basic salary and allowances into a monthly and annual package, with a separate gratuity estimate. For Pakistan, I estimate tax and take-home for salaried individuals using the displayed FY 2026-27 annual slabs.
Is salary subject to personal income tax in the UAE?
The UAE has no personal income tax on salary. I show gross salary before any pension contributions, loan repayments or other payroll deductions. Your home-country tax obligations can be different.
Who qualifies for this UAE gratuity estimate?
I model the standard UAE private-sector gratuity under Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021 after at least one year of continuous service. Alternative savings schemes, special jurisdictions and individual entitlements need a separate check with MOHRE.
How is gratuity calculated?
I use monthly basic wage divided by 30 as the daily basic wage, 21 days per year for the first five years and 30 days per additional year. Eligible partial years are proportional. The total is capped at 24 months of basic wage. Allowances are excluded.
Which Pakistan tax year and taxpayer type do I use?
I use the FY 2026-27 salaried-individual slabs shown below, effective 1 July 2026 under Finance Act 2026, with no salaried surcharge. The calculator does not apply business-income slabs, credits, exemptions or other deductions.
Why might my payslip show a different amount?
I annualise a constant monthly taxable salary and divide annual tax by 12. Bonuses, previous withholding, variable salary, provident fund deductions, tax credits and other income can change payroll. Confirm your position with FBR or your payroll adviser before filing.
